ReOrientation

ReOrientation

ReOrientation is an opportunity to get re-acclimated to the many resources offered on campus and to provide students with one-stop access to the quarter's many activities and events. Partner offices include: The College, Alumni Relations and Development, Campus & Student Life, Center for Leadership and Involvement, Health Promotion and Wellness, Office of LGBTQ Student Life, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Physical Education and Athletics, Resources for Sexual Violence Prevention, Office of Spiritual Life, and the University Community Service Center.

We know you'll tackle the school work this quarter. Find your sunny spot on campus, make sure to get enough rest, and be sure to make time for the fun stuff below!

Find Your Sunny Spot at UChicago

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that usually begins during the late fall and lasts through the winter months, when there is less natural sunlight.  SAD affects 1/2 million people every winter.  One of the best ways to decrease SAD symptoms, which include depression and anxiety, is to spend more time in the sun. Visit the “sunny spots” on campus to help minimize and control your SAD.

Strugging for a Good Night's Sleep?

The Refresh Program provides College students with skills and strategies to achieve more restful nights. This is seven-week, email-based program that begins on January 18th. Visit wellness.uchicago.edu/refresh to register.
